The Fundación José María de Olives y de Ponsich, Conde de Torre-saura signs collaboration agreements with Cáritas and the charter schools of Ciutadella, Nostra Senyora de la Consolació and Sant Francesc de Sales.
65.000 euros per year for Cáritas aid and social economy projects
The agreement signed between Cáritas Diocesana de Menorca and the Torre-saura Foundation establishes the basis for collaboration between the two entities in the development of the grassroots action projects Mestral Ciutadella and Ca n’Aguedet, in addition to other social economy projects in the towns of Ciutadella and Es Mercadal. The Foundation will allocate €65.000 per year in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Specifically, the Foundation’s contribution will finance family aid in Ciutadella to guarantee decent housing, scholarships for job training workshops in the Mestral Ciutadella project, and job placement contracts linked to the Ca n’Aguedet project in Es Mercadal.
The beneficiaries of this contribution from the Torre-saura Foundation are families assisted by Cáritas, participants in the pre-employment training courses taught at Mestral Ciutadella, and workers linked to the Ca n’Aguedet project and other social economy projects in Ciutadella and Es Mercadal.
More than €11.000 for the purchase of school supplies and computer equipment
Under the agreement signed with the Nostra Senyora de la Consolació school, the Foundation has committed to providing €5.991 in funding during the 2022-2023 academic year for the purchase of school uniforms, school supplies, textbooks, and computer equipment, to be distributed among students from economically and socially vulnerable families.
The agreement signed with the Sant Francesc de Sales school establishes that the Torre-saura Foundation will allocate a total of €5.506 to pay the debt owed to the school by families with insufficient resources during the current school year (2022-2023) and to finance the purchase of the computer equipment necessary to ensure that all students have access to the school’s educational activities.
The Torre-saura Foundation maintains its commitment to Menorcan society to work for its social, economic, educational, and cultural progress, through its own initiatives and projects or, as in this case, by actively collaborating with entities working in the aforementioned areas.
