To date, the Foundation has signed collaboration agreements with various institutions, including
those proposed by the Fundació per a Persones amb Discapacitat Illa de Menorca (Menorca
Foundation for People with Disabilities), to improve accessibility and care for children with severe
disabilities, with Càritas Menorca, regarding programs for children and families facing economic
difficulties in areas such housing, food shopping, employment, etc., and Fundació Pere Tarres to
fund the attendance of children from Ciutadella at summer activities organised by the Sant Miquel
Socio-Educational Centre. Funding has also been allocated to improve the Ciutadella Geriatric
Residence, and annual agreements have been signed to provide different scholar equipment to
Sant Francesc de Sales and Nostra Senyora de la Consolació schools. In addition, the Foundation
actively collaborated in providing aid during such delicate times as those experienced during the
pandemic years.
In 2019, the Foundation fully renovated the emblematic Molí des Comte, situated in the center of
Ciutadella, and in 2022 the refurbishment of the Ses Truqueries estate, one of its most iconic
properties, was also completed.
Currently, restoration work is being carried out on the façades of the main palace (Cas Comte),
located between Es Born Square, Major des Born Street and Mirador Street in Ciutadella. Also,
significant restoration work is underway on several of the numerous characteristic livestock barns
built during the county's most relevant period. The citizen volunteer group GIBET, affiliated with
the Societat Històrico-Arqueològica Martí i Bella of Ciutadella, is collaborating in these efforts.
These and future planned actions therefore represent a firm and tangible commitment by the
Foundation to the historical and cultural heritage of Menorca.
